Extended day/year EarlyLearn, 3-K and pre-K programs offer high quality early childhood care and education for children six weeks through four years old. These programs run year long, up to 10 hours per day and offer a safe, positive learning environment for children to learn, play,and build skills for kindergarten and beyond. To provide access to these free or low-cost services, NYC Department of Education (DOE) utilizes funding from the Federal Child Care Block Grant (Child Care), which requires that families meet the following eligibility requirements:
